About pre-orders

At MARCUS ELIZABETH, some products may be offered as pre-orders. This may apply to limited fragrance releases, new extrait de parfum launches, candles, discovery sets, small-batch productions, restocks or special collaborations. A pre-order allows you to reserve a product before it is produced, restocked or officially released. This helps us produce more intentionally, reduce unnecessary stock and better respond to actual demand.

As an independent perfume house, we work carefully with production, packaging, compliance and fulfilment timelines. For that reason, pre-order dates and shipping windows are always estimates. By placing a pre-order, you agree to these Pre-order terms and conditions, together with our Terms of service, Return policy, Privacy policy and any product-specific information shown on the product page or during checkout.

Placing a pre-order

When you place a pre-order, you are ordering a product that is not yet ready for immediate shipment. The product may still be in production, awaiting packaging, awaiting legal documentation, being prepared for release or being collected as part of a pre-order window. Your pre-order is confirmed once your payment has been successfully completed and you have received an order confirmation by email. This confirmation means that we have received your order request. It does not guarantee an exact shipping date. If a product is offered during a limited pre-order period, production or fulfilment may begin after that period has closed.

Payment

Pre-orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase, unless another payment option is clearly offered at checkout. Your payment reserves your place in the pre-order process. If we are unable to fulfil your pre-order, for example because of production issues, supplier delays, compliance matters, damaged stock or availability problems, we will contact you and offer an appropriate solution. This may include a new estimated delivery window, an alternative product where suitable, or a full refund.

Estimated release and shipping dates

Any release date, delivery period or shipping window shown on our website, product page, email or social media is an estimate. We do our best to communicate realistic timelines, but dates may change due to production, packaging, raw materials, batch quality checks, safety documentation, supplier delays, courier issues, customs procedures or other circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for reasonable changes to estimated release dates, pre-order windows or shipping timelines. If there is a significant delay, we will aim to inform you by email.

Delivery

Once the pre-ordered product is ready, your order will be prepared and shipped to the delivery address provided at checkout. Delivery times may vary depending on your destination, courier availability and any shipping restrictions that apply to fragrance products. Perfumes and certain fragrance products may be subject to transport restrictions because they can be classified as flammable goods. This may affect available shipping methods, destinations or delivery times. Please make sure your shipping address is complete and correct. If you need to update your address before your order is dispatched, contact us as soon as possible at info@marcuselizabeth.com.

Cancelling a pre-order before shipment

You may cancel your pre-order at any time before it has been dispatched. If you cancel before dispatch, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the pre-ordered product. To cancel a pre-order, please contact us at info@marcuselizabeth.com and include your name, order number and the product you wish to cancel. Once the order has been dispatched, the cancellation will be treated under our regular Return policy and applicable right of withdrawal.

Returns after delivery

After you have received your pre-ordered product, our regular Return policy applies. If you are a consumer in the Netherlands or the European Union, you generally have the right to notify us within 14 days of receiving your online purchase that you wish to withdraw from the purchase. After notifying us, you have another 14 days to return the product. Due to the nature of our products, opened, used or unsealed perfumes, discovery sets, samples, travel sizes, pocket sizes, candles or other scented products cannot be returned when they cannot be resold for hygiene, safety or quality reasons. This does not affect your statutory rights if a product is defective, damaged or incorrectly delivered.

Changes or cancellation by MARCUS ELIZABETH

In exceptional cases, MARCUS ELIZABETH may need to cancel a pre-order. This may happen if a product cannot be produced, does not meet our quality standards, is unavailable due to supplier issues, cannot be shipped to your destination, or cannot be released for legal, safety, compliance or operational reasons. If we cancel your pre-order before dispatch, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled item.

Product changes

Because pre-order products may still be in production, small changes may occur before final release. These may include minor adjustments to packaging, labelling, bottle presentation, candle vessel details, batch information, product imagery or product description. We will not make material changes to the core product without informing you where required. Fragrance perception is personal and subjective, and descriptions, notes and mood references are provided as guidance.

Combining pre-orders with in-stock items

If your order contains both pre-order items and in-stock items, we may ship the full order together once the pre-order item is ready, unless otherwise stated or agreed. If you need available items sooner, please contact us before or shortly after placing your order. Additional shipping costs may apply if you request separate shipments.
